The website brings together works created using a variety of techniques and media: paintings and drawings in acrylic, oil, ink, or wax, on canvas, paper, Plexiglas, or Rhodoid. It also presents digital works published in limited editions, on paper or Dibond aluminum.
The whole reflects the work of recent years, marked by a constant renewal of subjects, approaches, and modes of expression.
From one series to another, Michel Clouin pursues a research into form, dialogue, and trace. He reinvents himself through different media and digital technologies, which he integrates into his pictorial practice without ever abandoning the hand, the material, or the gesture.
Based in his studio in Chaumont-en-Vexin (Oise), Michel Clouin has also been sharing his practice for over twenty years through his painting classes Instants d'art.
His work also circulates differently: as the brand's associated artist at Tana Kim®, he sees certain works become wearable pieces — between fashion and contemporary art.
Through a comic strip and his own recurring character — the hen — he runs a chronicle on current events, published regularly on Instagram.
He also chairs La Source Garouste – Villarceaux, an association founded by artists Élisabeth and Gérard Garouste, dedicated to artistic expression for children and young people in vulnerable situations. After working as a teacher, he spent fifteen years as a pedagogical advisor in visual arts, then nearly ten years as a technical advisor for artistic and cultural education at the departmental directorate of national education services in Val-d'Oise.
Today a consultant for Écrans VO, the association of 26 cinemas in Val-d'Oise, and in charge of video content development for the Fondation Vareille as part of the programme "Un violon dans mon école", he pursues, alongside his work as a painter, a constant commitment to artistic and cultural transmission.
