Based in his studio in Chaumont-en-Vexin (Oise), Michel Clouin has also been sharing his practice for over twenty years through his painting classes Instants d’art. His work also circulates differently: as the brand’s associated artist at Tana Kim®, he sees certain works become wearable pieces — between fashion and contemporary art. Through a comic strip and his own recurring character — the hen — he runs a chronicle on current events, published regularly on Instagram. He also chairs La Source Garouste - Villarceaux, an association founded by artists Élisabeth and Gérard Garouste, dedicated to artistic expression for children and young people in vulnerable situations. After working as a teacher, he spent fifteen years as a pedagogical advisor in visual arts, then nearly ten years as a technical advisor for artistic and cultural education at the departmental directorate of national education services in Val-d’Oise. Today a consultant for Écrans VO, the association of 26 cinemas in Val-d’Oise, and in charge of video content development for the Fondation Vareille as part of the programme “Un violon dans mon école”, he pursues, alongside his work as a painter, a constant commitment to artistic and cultural transmission.
